The two homeowners, Lily and her sister Christine, are neighbors and we were able to help them by removing a lot of down trees and do some clean up work in their yards. Thankfully neither sister had very much damage to their homes.
Lily is currently also battling cancer. She has just recently had a large portion of cancer removed from the side of her face. Her mother told us that it is a trying time for Lily, that this time last year she would have been outside working in her garden and that she can't stand to sit inside.
When our cleanup was complete we all ate a quick sandwich and then we took a picture with Lily and her mom. Afterwards we all gathered together and said a prayer for their family. They were all very thankful, and appreciated the thoughts and prayers that we brought with us in the form of cookies and etc.
I ask that you would pray for Lily, pray for her family, and pray for her healing. I also ask that you would continue to pray for our team as we continue to serve God.
